Both the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Project and the NASA EPSCoR Program are funded through the NASA Office of STEM Engagement.
NASA STEM Engagement delivers tools for young Americans and educators
to learn and succeed. The goals are:
Expand Human Knowledge through new scientific discoveries
Extend human presence to the Moon and on towards Mars sustainable long-term exploration, development, and utilization
Catalyze economic growth and drive innovation to address national challeneges
Enhance capabilities and operations to catalyze current and future mission success
To achieve these goals, NASA STEM Engagement strives to increase K-12 involvement in NASA projects, enhance higher education, strengthen online education, and boost NASA's contribution to informal education. The intended outcome is a generation prepared to code, calculate, design, and discover its way to a new era of American innovation.
