KSGC funding of the StarDate program provides for increased awareness and knowledge of the science of Astronomy throughout Kansas.
Underwriting
The KSGC has underwritten statewide the StarDate radio program since 1997. StarDate, the longest-running radio science feature in America, is broadcast from the McDonald Observatory, which is a research unit of The University of Texas at Austin and one of the world’s leading centers for astronomical research, teaching, and public education and outreach.

Stations air this statement following each StarDate segment: “This segment of StarDate was provided in part by the Kansas Space Grant Consortium, a program sponsored by NASA whose mission is the enhancement of math, sciences, and technologies education for Kansans of all ages.”
