Briefing Visit to Kansas Congressional Delegation
The Kansas congressional delegation hears a briefing by KSGC Executive Committee members in Washington, D.C., in the spring of the year. In addition to the update, the KSGC representatives describe the impact the KSGC has had on the citizens of Kansas. Another purpose for the personal visit is to express gratitude for the delegation’s continuing support of the National Space Grant Program. U.S. Senators are Sen. Sam Brownback (Member, Science, Technology, and Space Subcommittee) and Sen. Pat Roberts (Chair, U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence). The U.S. House of Representatives includes Kansans Dennis Moore (D) of Lenexa (Member, Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee) Jerry Moran (R) of Hays, Jim Ryun (R) of Topeka, and Todd Tiahrt (R) of Goddard.
