KSGC - National Activities - Academies

NASA Academies

The KSGC recruits students from Consortium schools to participate in NASA Academies. Through 2002, 14 Kansas students have been selected for this nationally competitive program. The students express gratitude for the unique experience of working at NASA, thus accomplishing a Nasa Mission., “to inspire the next generation of explorers … as only NASA can.” The KSGC-sponsored student in the photograph below is Scott Liddle, shown at right end, with classmates at NASA Academy 2002 at Goddard Space Flight Center.

We recently received this letter from Ms. Jennifer Sweeton, who attended the NASA Ames Academy in 2004 studying neuroscience. Jennifer assisted Dr. Robert Welch in research entitled, “Adapting to Unusual Sensory Environments”.

We received this letter from NASA Academy 2002 student, Scott Liddle, senior at the University of Kansas seeking a BS in Aerospace Engineering.
