Christie Bertels
I have been working at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas for the past 4 years for United Space Alliance. I am a certified flight controller for the International Space Station, specializing in Structures, Mechanical and Maintenance Systems. I also am a certified astronaut instructor.
I was sponsored by KSGC to participate in the 1998 NASA Academy in Aeronautics at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. This experience definitely help focus my career aspirations and eventually get a job with NASA.
